Winery
The La Volpara winery is located at 350 meters above sea-level on a south west slope on the border of Umbria and Tuscany, in between Florence and Rome.
As a boutique winery we have a passion for wines of the highest level. All work is done organically with respect for the flora and fauna which surrounds us.
Our site is surrounded by oak trees, olive groves, and a variety of bushes which complement the natural surroundings of the vineyard with beneficial effects for the vines. The soil - tuffo and shells from the pleistocene - with good drainage, form a unique terroir. The winery has been owned by Albert and Ike Ninck Blok since 2001 and it comprises 4 hectares (10 acres) of which 1,5 hectare (3 acre) is planted with vines. Albert Ninck Blok is the winemaker of La Volpara.
