2010 La Volpe

Location: Monteleone di Orvieto, Italy

Harvest: Last week of September, grapes were harvested manually and collected in small baskets. Yield is 45 hl/ha.
Weather: This year was a good year for growing grapes, with sun and rain at regular intervals.
Vinification: After destemming, fermentation took place at a maximum temperature of 26°C for a period of 9 days in our cement tanks, with regular pushing down the cap in order to have the skins immersed.
Maturation: for two years in used oak French barrique
Malolactic fermentation took place in barrique.
The wine: Drink between now and 5 years.
Analysis: Alcohol: 13,5 %
Acidity: 5,08 g/ltr
