2006 La Volpara

Location: Monteleone di Orvieto, Italy

Weather: This year had a beautiful summer with occasionally some rain throughout the summer months. A very good year.
Vinification: After destemming, fermentation took place at a maximum temperature of 27C for a period of 11 days in our cement tanks, with regular pushing down the cap in order to have the skins immersed.
Maturation: For 12 months in French barrique, 60% new oak.
Malolactic fermentation took place in new barrique.
The wine: Drink between now and 15 years.
